Professor Franzè awarded the Just Humanities Grants Initiative

Senior Lecturer Federica Franzè has been awarded the Just Humanities Grants Initiative.

The project, Crossing Borders: Stories of Migration Through Film and Art, developed jointly with Lecturer Lorena Garcia Barroso, from the Department of Latin American and Iberian Cultures, will consist of three events: two film screenings and a museum visit, exploring contemporary stories of migration. Focusing on different migration routes and the experiences of those who undertake dangerous journeys, the events aim to foster greater awareness of the realities of forced migration and invite students to reflect on what it means to seek protection when safe and legal pathways are unavailable.

The events will take place in spring 2027 and will be open to the Columbia community. Further details will be announced soon!
