Gianmarco Mancuso

Gianmarco Mancuso

Gianmarco Mancuso is a PhD student in the Department of Italian Studies at Columbia University. He graduated summa cum laude with both a BA and an MA in Modern Humanities from the Università degli Studi di Milano. As part of his graduate studies, he also conducted research at the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages and Linguistics at the University of Cambridge. Before joining Columbia, he taught in several Italian schools and spent one year as an Italian language instructor at an international European school.

In parallel with his teaching, he has published articles and reviews for various literary journals and blogs, with a focus on recent book releases. His research interests include literary theory, hermeneutics, and aesthetics, particularly applied to modern and contemporary Italian literature. In this context, he has studied extensively authors such as Giacomo Leopardi, Primo Levi, and Umberto Eco.
