Andrew Wyatt is a Ph.D. candidate and Teaching Fellow in the Department of Italian at Columbia University. He graduated from Kent State University in 2016 with a B.A. in English with minors in Italian and Ancient, Medieval & Renaissance Studies. He subsequently worked as a student advisor for Kent State University in Florence. Andrew received an M.A. in Italian in 2018 and an M.Phil in Italian in 2020 from Columbia. Topics for his qualifying exams included modern literature in Italy, intellectual trends in the Mediterranean, and the Tre corone. His research interests include the modern Italian novel, intellectual history in the Mediterranean, and the literature of Trieste.
Andrew has taught Italian at the elementary and intermediate levels at Columbia University. He will serve as the Italian Department’s Lead Teaching Fellow for the Center for Teaching and Learning for the 20/21 academic year.
