You are all invited to join this semester's departmental workshop sponsored by CTL and titled: "A Great Lesson Plan: Strategies and Technologies". It will be held on the in Hamilton 501 (the room might change, as we will need Internet access). Food and wine will be served.
During the meeting, we will talk about key pedagogical strategies that allow us to tackle lesson planning in the most effective way—both time-wise for yourselves and learning-wise for your students. Some lesser known websites and technological tools will be introduced to give you new ideas and help in easily devising great lesson plans. Some lecturers and senior PhD Students will present best practices from their own experience and enrich our discussion, which will kick off with an analysis of "backward design". You will leave the workshop having created a viable lesson plan that can serve as sample for the future.
